The Carlotta restaurant concept came out of an invited competition held by İstanbul Doors, a company operating several restaurant formats, and was developed after the winning concept proposal prepared by BFTA together with GMG, the office we collaborated with.
In shaping the concept, the brand was targeting customers from the upper socio-economic group looking for a light and healthy lunch in locations with a high concentration of white-collar workers.

Having carried out field research, the company stated that its priority was a spatial language addressing the character of that audience. The interior concept was therefore designed for short visits, for a place one is a guest in rather than lives in: plain, open and quickly read rather than heavily clad, unobtrusive, and able to respond to rapid change.
A modular inventory adaptable to different store types was also prepared at the concept stage to make implementation easier.
