BFTA Architects — Large-scale housing and mixed-use architecture in Istanbul

En Plaza is an office building in Ümraniye’s business district that stands out with its unique design. It offers flexible leasing options with site and floor plans tailored to its plot. To the east, it borders Ümraniye Industrial Site, while the north is home to the Anel Building and office district. The newly constructed Avrupa Residences lies to the west, and to the south is Alemdağ Avenue, the main commercial axis of Ümraniye

Mutluş Apartment stands in Suadiye, between the coastal road and Bağdat Avenue. It is an apartment building of nine storeys above the ground floor. On each floor, the two apartments are fully separated by a small core running from front to back.

Metro Ofis project is a 20-story office building. Due to the limited footprint, the core is positioned against one façade, resulting in a layout that maximizes the use of the other three sides.

Located adjacent to the Sancaktepe metro station, the building frames a retail courtyard defined by two curving volumes that face the public square in front. The commercial podium addresses the surrounding streets through a series of arches at varying scales — completing the existing street lines while establishing its own distinct character and presence.

The project undertakes the adaptive completion of a partially constructed high school in Ataşehir, realized through the patronage and coordination of the Sabancı Foundation.

Suryapi Ilkbahar is a residential development set within a rapidly growing district of Sultanbeyli, comprising five housing blocks, a commercial unit, and shared social facilities across approximately 25 dunams — with around 10,000m² of landscaped green space. At the site planning scale, the blocks are positioned as far apart as possible, with their base widths carefully considered to preserve garden views and avoid casting shadows on one another. The result is the largest continuous outdoor area the plot could yield.
