The EnPlaza office building was published on ArchDaily on 26 September 2020. ArchDaily is among the most visited architecture publications in the world; it publishes the projects it selects together with their credits, drawings and photographs.

The article approaches the building through the transformation of its surroundings: northern Ümraniye, once one of Istanbul’s oldest industrial districts, is turning rapidly into an office and business quarter thanks to its proximity to the TEM motorway and the availability of large plots.

The 20,000m² building was conceived as an office block rising above retail floors. The rectangular mass, presenting its long facade to the north, is served by a linear core along the south; white sun breakers set perpendicular to the facade carry the low eastern and western light into the office spaces. The floor plans were laid out to allow flexible subdivision across a range of lettable sizes, while the shop fronts open west and north following the ground rising to the west.
