In response, the façade is designed to be as transparent as possible, maximizing the relationship between the interior and the view beyond. Along the parapet line, a continuous wave runs uninterrupted around the building — shifting in perspective when seen from different angles and directions. This undulating profile also resolves the corner subtractions of the massing, binding the volume into a more coherent and legible formal expression.

With Hakkı Bey Apartment, we sought to offer an alternative to the increasingly repetitive façade typologies emerging from Kadıköy's urban renewal process. The design departs from this tendency by engaging directly with light: the southeast–southwest solar exposure becomes an active compositional element, casting shadows that continuously transform the façade throughout the day — a building whose perceived scale and surface shift with the movement of the sun. The façade panels were developed using parametric design tools, allowing us to explore and refine complex geometries before adapting them for precast concrete production. Following the necessary adjustments for casting feasibility, we resolved the integration of the panels with the compact laminate cladding and joinery systems used across the elevation.
