Huzur Apartment

The building stands on Kuyu Sokak in Fenerbahçe and has 11 storeys. There are no flats on the ground floor. Each floor holds two flats. Under the floor-area sharing arrangement the top three storeys go to the investor, and their floor areas are smaller than those of the typical storeys. We expressed this difference in the shell of the building. The building can be read in two parts, a sea façade and a street façade. The rear flats project towards the street façade, which lets their living rooms take in the sea view as well. The entrance is an open welcome; to mark it on the pedestrian approach, a concrete pier driven into the building carries a small canopy.
